I have been following property developer Jennifer Olivier for some time now, on Instagram.
I really admire her bold approach, she is well known for finishing her properties with great style in advance of letting them out or selling them on the open market. She runs a very reasonably priced 6-week course on property, teaching people how to do the same: invest and renovate successfully and with confidence. You can find details of her course here.
Right now, she is doing something a bit different: she has decided to run a RAFFLE for the latest 3 bedroom, semi detached cottage she has recently finished in Carnoustie, a famous golfing resort, on Scotland’s east coast, worth £265,000, calling the competition ‘Win a Cottage for Christmas’.
The tickets are only £5 each, the deadline for purchasing a ticket is Saturday 16th December so participants need to act fast! A minimum of 65,000 tickets needs to be sold for the main prize to be given. If less than 65,000 tickets are sold, the winner will receive a cash payment amounting to 50% of the total ticket revenue generated for this competition, so still worth entering and not a huge risk.
Big companies like Omaze have been doing this for some time but as a small family business Jennifer wanted to try a similar approach. The platform Raffall gets excellent reviews on Trustpilot. Jennifer is hoping to help some children and cancer charities in the process.
The competition has started and there is only a week to go. Ticket sales are going well - I have bought a few - don’t miss out, it will be very interesting to see the result - will Jennifer reach her target? Will someone win the cottage? Or will it be a cash prize? And how much will she raise for charity?
SO intrigued!
